You know what you want to say. Then someone looks disappointed.

You soften it. Explain it again. Agree to something you were certain you didn’t want to do. Later, you’re lying in bed replaying the conversation, wondering why being honest felt so difficult when you knew perfectly well what mattered to you.

Perhaps you can make difficult decisions at work, yet struggle to ask someone you love for more care. Perhaps you notice everybody else’s mood before you’ve checked in with your own. Or you keep saying ‘It’s fine’ until resentment gives you the force to admit that it hasn’t been fine for quite some time.

When your emotions, needs and boundaries work together

I created the Self-Esteem Triad because I kept meeting intelligent, committed people who understood their patterns and still found themselves repeating them. They knew boundaries mattered. They could explain their childhood. Yet when connection felt uncertain, what they knew became difficult to live.

  • Emotions

Notice what you feel without immediately judging it or treating every feeling as an instruction.

  • Emotional needs

Explore what you need, how you learned to respond to those needs, and how to communicate them more clearly.

  • Boundaries

Learn where your responsibility ends and another person’s begins, and how to express your limits while respecting theirs.

Worthy. Lovable. Enough.

Practise treating yourself as someone whose experience matters.

What you’ll learn to do

Seven practical capabilities for a steadier, more honest relationship with yourself and with others.

  1. Catch the automatic yes.

Notice when you are agreeing freely and when you are trying to prevent disappointment.

  2. Hear your emotions earlier.

Recognise hurt, anger or sadness before dismissing them or waiting for them to become overwhelming.

  3. Name the need beneath the reaction.

Find language for what you need instead of expecting someone to guess.

  4. Ask for care more directly.

Practise expressing a need without turning it into an accusation or an apology for having it.

  5. Hold a boundary through discomfort.

Understand why guilt or pushback can arise, and consider your response without automatically abandoning your limit.

  6. Build self-trust through everyday choices.

Identify a small commitment that supports you and practise following through.

  7. Bring the whole Triad into a real situation.

Connect what you feel, what you need and what you choose to do.

A friend cancels your plans again.

You feel hurt, but you reply, ‘No worries,’ and spend the evening telling yourself you shouldn’t be so sensitive.

Through the Triad, you can explore the hurt without making it a criticism of yourself. You might recognise that reliability and consideration matter to you. Then you can decide what you want to say, and whether you want to keep arranging your time around plans that are regularly cancelled.

Your friend still gets to respond in their own way. You have a clearer way to remain present to yourself while finding out whether the relationship has room for what matters to you.

Meet Remi

I’m Remi Pearson, author, founder of The Coaching Institute and creator of the Self-Esteem Triad. Over more than two decades, my work has explored how we think, relate and change, including the gap between understanding ourselves and being able to live what we understand.

I built a business that turned over $200 million across its history and trained more than 14,000 coaches. I also know that being capable and achieving things doesn’t settle every question we have about ourselves. This program brings one of my models into a format you can work through in your own life, for $29.

A few things you might be wondering

Is this for me if I’m already confident?

Is it live or self-paced?
Self-paced, with six recorded videos.
What does the $29 include?
All six videos, the workbook and downloadable transcripts.

Is this therapy or a professional qualification?
It is an educational personal development program. It does not include individual therapy or certify you to practise professionally.

100% of the profit from your sales

Love the work? Help it reach someone else.

After purchasing, you’ll have the option to become a Self-Esteem Triad ambassador. You can sell the product for $29 or more and keep 100% of the profit from your sales.

I receive no share of those sales. Any payment fees, taxes or other selling costs still need to be accounted for. Participation is optional, and the ambassador terms explain how it works.

I want these tools to reach more people. If the work matters to you and you’d like to share it, this gives you a way to do that and earn from the sales you make.

Make room for yourself
in the life you’re already living.

Begin with one situation. A conversation you keep replaying. A need you’ve found difficult to name. A yes you’d like to reconsider. The Self-Esteem Triad gives you a framework for exploring it and choosing what to practise next.
