Things I've spent years trying to figure out

I cannot leave a good question alone.

Most of what I've created began with something I could not explain, something I had lived, witnessed or watched people struggle with long after the obvious answers had failed.

So I kept following the question.

A hand-drawn map. Let Truth Lead sits at the centre, with paths out to Human Needs & Self, Emotional Change, Meaning & Alignment, Leadership & Human Systems, and Influence & Building Beyond You.

This is not one model.
It is a body of work.

Some of it helps us understand what shaped us. Some helps us change what happens in the moment. Some helps leaders and organisations see where alignment is breaking. And some helps people sell, lead and build without manipulation, rescuing or becoming the entire asset.

The body of work, at a glance

Not every idea does the same job. Here is the map before we go wandering through it.

Research threadValues, meaning, organisational wellbeing, leadership, reliability and validity.

Different questions. Different models. One body of work.

Self-esteem is something we live.

It is shaped by whether we know what we need, honour where we end and another person begins, and remain in relationship with our emotional truth.

The Self-Esteem Triad

Needs. Boundaries. Emotions.

The Self-Esteem Triad. Needs: know what matters to you; recognise, express and take responsibility for what you need. Boundaries: the line at which you can love someone and still love and take care of yourself; boundaries clarify what is yours, what is not and what behaviour you will accept. Emotions: vital information about what needs attention, protection, expression or completion; speak for your emotions, not from them. At the centre: worthy, lovable, enough.

Safe vs Risky Problems

Safe problem

Fix it out there.

Risky truth

Turn toward what is here.

What is coming up for me?
What is this asking me to notice?
What needs my attention?

The risk is not danger. It is the vulnerability of staying with ourselves.

Change has a past, a present and a future

Knowing why a pattern exists is not the same as being free to respond differently. These three models work at different points in the human-change journey.

Deep State Repatterning™

Why does something that happened long ago still have so much power now?

Values Alignment Model

Human question:

How do I build a life that feels meaningful because it is actually mine?

Accurate explanation:

A research-informed framework for strengthening meaning in life by connecting personal values with self-concordant goals, action, self-regulation and reflection.

The gap is never just the gap

When something keeps failing, leaders often prescribe more effort. CAM asks a better question: where is alignment actually breaking?

The Critical Alignment Model

Created by Remi Pearson

The Critical Alignment Model: four domains around a compass. Environment — vision, culture, personal strength and the conditions people need to thrive. Structure — strategy, innovation, planning and decision-making. Implementation — autonomy, order, sustained focus and turning intention into results. People — mentoring, connection, social skill and mindful leadership.

Structure — strategy, innovation, planning and decision-making. Implementation — autonomy, order, sustained focus and turning intention into results. People — mentoring, connection, social skill and mindful leadership.

I didn't want a model that only sounded clever

I hired researchers to challenge CAM, operationalise it and build a profiling tool that could be tested for reliability and validity.

  • 4Domains
  • 16Leadership dimensions
  • 41Thinking characteristics
  • 535People in the normative sample

The final 16 dimensions returned internal-consistency coefficients from .692 to .904. Factor analysis closely reproduced CAM's Environment, Structure, Implementation and People domains.

CAM is the model

It reveals where alignment is breaking and what kind of thinking or action the situation requires.

The Meta Dynamics™ Profiling Tool is the measurement

It translates CAM into a developmental assessment of thinking preferences across 16 dimensions and 41 characteristics.

The thinking that got us here may not get us there

People, teams and organisations do not need the same thing at every stage. The useful question is not which level sounds best. It is which kind of thinking the present problem requires.

The seven levels of T.R.U.S.T.M.E., rising in a spiral: 1 Trust, 2 Relatability, 3 Uniqueness, 4 Systems, 5 Tenacity, 6 Meaning, 7 Evolution.

The T.R.U.S.T.M.E. Model

Created by Remi Pearson · informed by Spiral Dynamics

T.R.U.S.T.M.E. reveals the operating logic a person, team or organisation returns to, especially under pressure. Every level solves a problem, creates new limits and points toward the thinking required next.

You cannot solve a problem from the same thinking that created it.

Disruptive Leadership

How do I lead without carrying everybody?

A philosophy and practice of leadership built on truth, responsibility, accountability, healthy relationships and the ability to hold space. Set clear standards. Give honest feedback. Develop capable people. Stop rescuing, controlling or rewarding helplessness.

Observe before you intervene. Understand before you decide.

The first 90 days should be treated as a disciplined inquiry. Your work is to observe, collate, synthesise, understand and assess before you begin making substantial changes. Leadership begins with seeing what is actually there, including what nobody thought to tell you.

Your First 90 Days as a Leader

Developed by Remi Pearson · built on the Critical Alignment Model.

Your First 90 Days as a Leader, by Remi Pearson, built on the Critical Alignment Model. Observe before you intervene. Understand before you decide. A rising line passes through three stages. 01, days 1 to 30, observe and map reality: listen, question, notice, trace the work, find the unwritten ground rules. Understand the system first. 02, days 31 to 60, interrogate and synthesise: compare, test assumptions, analyse trust, identify the real gaps. 03, days 61 to 90, improve and develop: align, establish rhythms, strengthen the system, develop leadership capacity. Greater impact, stronger systems, happier people. Beneath them, the CAM lens: Purpose, Environment, Structure, Implementation, People. Do not confuse arriving with authority with arriving in possession of the truth.

The tools that make it practical

Benchmarking & modelling excellence

Decide what excellent looks like. Find an aligned model of excellence. Study the thinking, process and standards. Apply it, measure it and adapt.

Research-informed practice, not a claim that everything must be invented from scratch.

Critical thinking criteria

What is the rationale? What facts are needed? What problem does this solve? Which CAM domain is actually weak? What are the consequences, costs and possibilities? Is the decision replicable and sustainable?

A decision tool for replacing reflex with inquiry.

Core Improve Innovate

A Meta Dynamics model created by Remi Pearson.

What deserves my attention if I want to build something stable, useful and able to live beyond me?

Core, Improve, Innovate by Remi Pearson: three nested circles. Core, at the centre: protect what works. Improve, around it: make the core better. Innovate, the outer ring: create what comes next. The balance changes as the business changes.

An idea should be useful enough to live beyond the page.

I love the process of discovery. But I do not want a clever-sounding model simply because it makes a good diagram. Where research can challenge, strengthen or operationalise an idea, I want it in the room.
